Where you might find me and what I might be doing through out the year.

Fall

I might be…

  • Taking an early morning walk with my dog Zipper through the woods, spying the sun rise through the trees.

  • Making lots of yummy granola to give to family, friends & neighbors at Christmas time, filling my home with such sweet aroma.

  • Getting back to my meditation practice which fell to the wayside over the summer.

Winter

I might be…

  • Skate skiing the Gloucester hill loop at Pineland farms if there is ski able snow.

  • Leafing through old Cook’s Illustrated, looking to be inspired to try a new recipe.

  • Painting watercolors with the intention of cutting them up to use in collage.

Spring

I might be…

  • Getting in the garden to begin the cleaning, weeding & turning the soil for the flowers to come.

  • Heading to the Portland Farmers Market to get the first asparagus of the season, to bring home and cook, delicious!

  • Crafting my next Qoya class, listening to music, dancing to see how a song might work or creating a new altar for the chosen theme.

Summer

I might be…

  • Diving into the water in Casco Bay from early June through September.

  • Wandering through the vendors at the Farmer’s market, creating my weekly menu based on what looks good.

  • Taking the opportunity to bring my yoga practice outside under the trees, where I can hear the wind rustling the leaves and look up through the canopy, feeling bathed among all the beautiful colors of green.

All Year Round

I identify as an introvert & need time and space to process internally. Doing most of these activities on my own, allows me to recharge & reset. I am able to then be fully present for all the people in my life: my husband, adult children, family, friends, neighbors & clients. It is a significant part of who I am and what I offer as a Qoya instructor, Reiki master & Soul Journey Drawing creator.

Below is an interview I did for The Gardenia Project - a podcast about women’s storytelling. If you’d like to get to know me a bit better, that’s a great place to start. I share my story about being burned my senior year in high school, my recovery and finding my inner voice and strength.

Listen to an interview with Hilary where she speaks about a difficult life experience that she transformed into an opportunity for personal growth.
